Which board type is the Sigma? On their download site you have to choose which kind of board you have. And is there any guide how to install it on the Sigma?

People who use RetrOange Pi on the RES say on the facebook users page that it's faster and easier.

Do you install the Retrorange to your PC or direct to the RES?

Did anybody try Lakka yet? It should be an even lighter and faster version for the same... www.lakka.tv

Lakka looks pretty neat. I might look into imaging an extra card with it to see how it works. Might not be for a week or so.
Based on screens, the UI is clean, but it seems like it'll just list all of your ROMS in one massive list, as opposed to the way RetroPie lists games by system. It's also not clear how you install additional emulators, or if you could get Kodi running on this. But if it's stable, lightweight, and accessible, it'll be a strong candidate for me.

I'm gonna install retrorangepi 3.0.1 on my extra SD & see how it goes. And? Does it work? Is it better than the Sigma OS? I installed it today & its like starting from scratch. Can't really see any improvements & the micro USB in back won't read. I can't figure out how to get my network to show up on my computer to drag & drop roms. I had to self install & ton of other things that were already installed on RES. I was hoping it'd have some easier way to hook up my wiimote or PS3 controller but no luck. I'm gonna try that lakka others suggested, soon.

I tried out Lakka briefly, and I'm pretty impressed.
Install size is about a 600MB image, 1/10th the size of retrop ie.
UI is kind of like Sony PlayStation 3. Clean, with a row of icons that have drop down lists.
Autodetected and configured my PS3 controller via usb cable. Didn't try the Bluetooth yet.
I got it on my Wi-Fi and transferred a bunch of zipped roms over in one group. It automatically identified and separated the NES roms from the SNES roms from the Genesis roms. Jumping out of a game is as easy as pressing L3 & R3 together, which also gives you an option to save state. Smooth as silk.
I wasn't able to get a PSX game identifies by the system, but I only had 20 minutes to play around.
I recommend this as something to experiment with. I'd love to hear someone else's thoughts and experience.

Wondering if I added retrorange or lakka to another SD card, could I swap them in and out of the system at random (I mainly want to use a different image for Kodi since people were saying their systems were stuck booting up to Kodi on Sigma), or will that mess things up?

Yes you definitely can. I have my Retro Engine card loaded with the RES image, and a little 8GB card I've used to try out other things like Lakka. Just power off the system, unplug the power cable, swap the card, and boot back up.
